Duralex glassware is 2-1/2 times more resistant to breakage and chipping than regular glass, and can withstand sudden thermal shocks, ranging from -4°F to 212°F. It is recommended to wash the dishes before use and to soak them in soapy water for 20 minutes. It is advised not to use metallic sponges, pads, powders, or abrasives. To remove hard water stains, vinegar is suggested. Alternatively, a product called LemiShine, available at local grocery stores, can also be used for soaking the glassware and removing hard water stains.
